Berghs project
I cobbled together this video and paired it with sublime narration, by my friend Sofia Engstrand, to give life to this project.
Our first Berghs brief was to make a website for Sweden Talent Foundation. After completion I kicked myself that I hadn’t made a TV ad... so I made this.
It was an interesting challenge to condense all the wonderful and strange idiosyncracies of Sweden into a short commercial script. It felt like a fitting way to pay homage to my time in Stockholm. I was concerned with not being cliched or obvious, so spent a lot of time speaking to Swedes and attempting to craft something truthful.
I have written a gently persuasive script that appeals to both men and women, despite the potentially macho tagline. I think the female voice and references to family life and connection give it broad appeal.
